After a harrowing journey on the high seas, I finally arrived at my destination, Cork. Linor had gone on to Dublin to arrange her work permit stuff, so I arrived alone in Cork airport (yeah, I flew. I'm not cool enough to take a ship - what, are you? ... I thought not.)
The guy at immigration asked me a bunch of questions, which I answered dutifully, if a little bit incoherently. After he established that I was coming to work for a year or two, he told me he had an apartment to let. It was out in the 'burbs, but still, I thought this was a good omen. Then, I got my bags (neither of which were lost, both of which were sitting right there when I got to the baggage claim) and walked out of the airport. A man saw me struggling to carry my worldy possessions for the next two years, and offered to get me cart. Again, another good. I then took a bus to downtown cork to my hostel.
Our hostel was (and still is) amazing. Any of you come to visit us, we will reccommend that you stay here - Auburn House B&B. Utterly awesome. Olive and Kieren, prop., they've been so nice and helpful with so many things.
That's it for now, more later of our adventures.
