I've been really loving board games lately. I always enjoyed games like Boggle, Scrabble, Clue, etc. I think I liked them because I was good at them. Now I'm entering a whole new phase of game-playing in which I really appreciate the brilliance of the games themselves. And it's ok if I lose (although J might tell you otherwise).
The game that started this board game obsession for was Settlers of Catan. We played it with friends a lot, and I finally bought it for Jon for his birthday 2 years ago. I actually miss it here in Ireland - It is AWESOME. Other great ones I've discovered are Carcassonne (which we now own here), Ticket to Ride, and Saboteur (which I would like to buy). While in Toronto I also re-ignited my love for Scrabble so Jon & I brought it back to Cork and have played about a million times.
