Here There and Everywhere

Hello Dear Readers,

It's been a while since I updated the blog.
We've continued our lives in Cork. Jon is still really enjoying his work at Tyndall, and I am still jobless but searching. Both of us still love Cork itself. In the last few weeks we have been on a few long walks around some very pretty neighborhoods that were new to us.

As for me personally, I have my good days and my bad days. That describes my personality when we are not in Ireland too, though, so nothing new there. I'm a happy person, but also a sad person. I feel my heart racing with joy just walking through the city sometimes and thinking about how lucky I am to be on this adventure. On the other hand, sometimes I curl up under the blanket and think of all the people I miss and spend a good while lying in a pool of homesickness. When that happens the best cure is talking to a friend in Canada.

The most exciting thing I have to report is that the next few months are full of visitors for us - friends & family coming to Cork! I just wrote all the dates down on our Canadian photography calendar (it hangs in the bedroom on my side of the bed), and we are getting really booked up. It's great!

I just went on a short mini-break to Snitterfield, UK, to see Abbe & Claes & Ella. That was lovely and relaxing. My favorite part was when we went for a walk past a sheep field and they had little lambs. So adorable! I'm hoping to go on a few smalls trips around Ireland in the next few weeks with a friend while continuing to look for a job.

Next week is St. Patrick's Day, an official day off work here in Ireland, and we've got our friend Jen coming to stay with us from Toronto. It should be a blast!

A gorgeous sunset I caught on my walk home from Tyndall.

St. Anne's Cathedral, where visitors can ring the Shandon bells. We live just across the river from this church.
